It is very important to us that our puppies live a happy, healthy, clean life. We are committed to finding the perfect homes for all of our babies or we will keep them ourselves. Poodles are not for everyone. We expect our poodles to be a part of the family and live in the house with the rest of the family. If you are a dog owner that thinks the dog belongs in the back yard, or tied up to a chain or some other horrible existence, you are not a poodle person. Do not contact us.

We do not place puppies in homes where people work a lot and are not available for this puppy. Expect us to inquire about your lifestyle, family, other pets, and philosophy about raising this beautiful little puppy. References are also helpful. We offer references of our puppy owners for you to contact to get an impression of us as well.

We feel very strongly about training. You will be much more at ease with your new addition with proper gentle training. We do not believe in force training of any kind. There are many good positive reinforcement trainers all over the country (go to www.ccpdt.com). Poodles specifically do better with this type of training. They are very intelligent and sensitive. They do not understand any kind of force or cruel training techniques. You will be thrilled at how quickly your poodle will learn when you use the right methods.

It is also crucial to feed a premium diet. We recommend specific foods to keep your puppy healthy and happy. We also offer information on supplements and other preventative health options.

We do not like to ship our puppies. We prefer you to come to us, either by airplane or car (depending on distance) and pick up your puppy. That way you can meet the parents of this puppy and also get to know us a little better. We will all feel better when we can get to know one another. In some instances, we can deliver to you for an additional charge. Of course, this all depends on circumstances, and if there is no other alternative, we will consider shipping by air. The nearest airport is Reno/Tahoe International airport, about 35 miles south of us.

We want to keep in contact with you to see how you and puppy are doing. We love to receive pictures to post on our web site and good stories about you and your new poodle. We are always available - day and night - for questions, problems and other information you may need throughout this poodle's life.

Once you decide that our puppies are right for you, we require a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 (five hundred dollars) to hold a puppy. The reason for this is that puppy will no longer be available to other interested parties.

We include a contract that all parties must agree to that includes a four-year genetic health guarantee (one of the longest guarantees you will find) and a 30-day return of the puppy for any reason. After 30 days, we will still take the puppy back but will not give a full refund. (We will take our poodles back ANYTIME during their life; we are even in some peoples' wills.)

If you share our views, you may very well be one of our perfect poodle owners.
